We sell the Cuban tourist card (also known as a Cuban visa) at the Cancun and Mexico City airports, at both the check-in desk and the customer service desk near the departure gates — no need to obtain this document in advance!

For U.S. travelers to Cuba – more information below:
The following passengers must provide a completed form at the boarding gates in Mexico City or Cancun:

• United States citizens
• United States residents
• Passengers who purchase their ticket to Cuba while physically in the United States
• Passengers who began their travel to Cuba from the United States

On the form you must certify that you are authorized to travel to Cuba either:

Under one of the 12 sections of the OFAC Cuban Asset Control Regulations (e.g. educational, journalistic), as a close relative visiting a traveler who is authorized under one of the 12 sections of the OFAC Cuban Asset Control Regulations, or under a specific OFAC license.

Note that Aeromexico cannot and does not verify your eligibility to travel to Cuba other than ensuring that you make a declaration on the form, sign it and submit it to us. At this time, we do not transmit the completed forms to the U.S. government. We do, however, retain them in case of any potential future audit by the U.S. government.

Forms may be obtained at the Mexico City or Cancun airports, or you may download the form as a PDF file, print it, and bring it to the gate.
Citizens of certain countries must purchase the Tourist Card directly at the Cuban consulate in their country of origin.
