Infants may travel only on their parent's lap or other accompanying adult's lap unless a separate seat has been booked for an infant according to Section 8.3.2 of these Conditions of Carriage, in order to place and fasten the infant car seat to it. One passenger may carry only one infant on his/her lap.
A passenger travelling with two or more infants or a passenger who wishes to use the car seat aboard the aircraft must be in possession of his/her own infant car seat/s to be fastened to the aircraft seat/s in order to place there any infant other than the one carried in the lap of a parent or an accompanying adult. The infant car seat must:
A) Be forward facing, purpose designed and certified according to federal or local authorities and must be able to be fastened to the aircraft seat by a two point harness. The shell and under structure may not show any signs of damage.
B) Have a single release and full harness securing the lap, torso and shoulders.
C) Be designed in a way that the child can be easily and quickly secured in or removed from the seat.
D) Be of dimensions that allow the armrest to be lowered at any time during the flight.
A passenger who must (according to these Conditions of Carriage) or would like to use the infant car seat aboard the aircraft must advise the Carrier when reserving and pay for each additional seat on which the infant car seat will be placed; otherwise, the Carrier may refuse carriage of such infant without any further liability to the passenger and/or infant, including reimbursement of fare, and the infant car seat will be carried only in the hold of the aircraft as checked baggage.
A passenger who intends to use the infant car seat aboard the aircraft must advise the ticket agent at the time of check-in to ensure that the passenger in charge of the infant and the infant are seated next to each other.
The passenger using the infant car seat in the aircraft cabin must fully obey the instructions given by the cabin crew members at all times; otherwise, the Carrier bears no liability for any damages suffered by the passenger and/or infant. The passenger using the infant car seat in the aircraft cabin is advised that, in case of emergency, the infant car seat may not be removed from the aircraft cabin and will remain in the aircraft.
