Houston, Texas - January 21, 2009- Airline Becomes First Carrier to Win “Best Airline in Mexico” Awards From Two Leading Travel Publications for Same Year
Aeromexico, the global airline of Latin America, has been selected as the “Best Airline in Mexico” for 2008 by Global Traveler’s readers. This is the second time the airline has led the competition and only the fourth year the category has been included in the international travel magazine’s annual survey. Aeromexico, along with other winners, was honored at an awards event on Thursday, January 15, at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.

Readers of Business Traveler (www.btusonline.com) magazine also selected Aeromexico for this top honor for the third consecutive year after the category was introduced in 2006 in its annual survey.

More than 31,000 readers participated in Global Traveler’s fifth annual survey, which included more than 50 travel-related categories. Global Traveler readers are primarily frequent, premium travelers who average 33 round-trip flights per year with 96 percent traveling regularly in either first- or business-class.
